THE IRANIAN COLLECTION OF THE TEHRAN MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART

Ever since its stablishment , the Tehran Museum of Contempoarary Art has been collecting works from outstanding contemporary Western and Iranian artists , amassing a treasure which will allow future generations to review the evolution of contemporary and modern painting . Western works from the Museum' collection were exhibited earliar , under the title of Modern Art Movement , and now their Iranian counterparts are on show under the same title .

The present exhibition includes a collection of rarely displayed paintings which allows the evolution of Iranian painting to be studied over a period of around seven decades . it represents the efforts of three generation of contemporary Iranian painters .

The secretary of exhibition is Iraj Eskandari . Some of the painters are Aydin Aghdashloo , Hanibal Alkhas , Minoo Asaadi , Kazem Chalipa , Bahram Dabiri , Parviz Kalantari , Sohrab Sepehri and … .
